The Optimist Club of Foley is dedicated to “Bringing Out the Best in Kids.” Our club sponsors positive service projects in the community aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. With an upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be. The Optimist Club sponsors an annual Christmas party for needy children, oratorical and essay contests, academic activities, Junior Optimist (JOI) Clubs, Scholarships, Respect for Law and First Responders, recognition of teachers, Scouting and other community functions.
To help fund our efforts, we are offering sponsorship opportunities for our 40th Annual TASTE OF SOUTH BALDWIN. Our event is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Foley Civic Center from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
The event features a “Taste” of cuisine from area restaurants, caterers, and beverage vendors in a setting of music and socialization with old friends, new friends and acquaintances. Tickets go into a drawing for free door prizes and a raffle.
